Ambulance Emergency Assistant Clinical Practice Guidelines

With the Clinical Practice Guidelines released by the Professional Board of Emergency Care (PBEC) for use and implementation by Ambulance Emergency Assistants, during this course you will learn new skills and drug protocols that were not in your scope before. These include, but not limited to:

  • Bag-valve tube ventilation and Capnograph monitoring
  • External hemorrhage control using a tourniquet and Topical Hemostatic agents
  • Obstetric management including shoulder dystocia delivery
  • IV Cannulation on paediatrics
  • Use of an incubator
  • Administration of:
    • Adrenaline, Corticosteroids, Dextrose on Paediatrics and neonates, Glucagon,
    • Magnesium Sulphate, Pain medication, Nalaxone, Thiamine.
