Critical Care Assistant Clinical Practice Guidelines
With the Clinical Practice Guidelines released by the Professional Board of Emergency Care (PBEC) for use and implementation by Critical Care Assistants, during this course you will learn new skills and drug protocols that were not in your scope before. These include, but not limited to:
- Noninvasive ventilation
- External hemorrhage control using a tourniquet and use of Topical Hemostatic agents
- Umbilical vein cannulation
- Ultrasound
- Urinary catheterization
- Administration of:
- Fentanyl, Ketamine, Oxytocin, Paracetamol, TXA, Penthrox, and Cyanide antidotes.
