I completed an undergraduate diploma followed by a B-Tech degree, in Emergency Medical Care and Rescue, at the Durban University of Technology. In 2014 I completed a Contemporary Business Management course through Nelson Mandela University’s business school.
Upon completion of my prehospital emergency medicine studies in 2005, I joined the workforce where I worked in South Africa and other African countries as an emergency care practitioner fulfilling a number of different roles, i.e.:
- Operational ECP (ground and aeromedical in both rural and urban EMS)
- Remote site clinic setup and management
- Aeromedical client liaison
- Lecturer and moderator
Currently working as the managing director for Medical ER Training and Consulting since 2012, I oversee the training and clinical governance departments.
